Dr. Sonjia Shelly received her DVM from The Ohio State University in 1978.  She then spent several years in mixed animal practice before starting a clinical pathology residency at New York State College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University. In 1985 Dr. Shelly was boarded in clinical pathology by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. Following two years as assistant professor at Cornell, she moved to California to work at CVD, now IDEXX Veterinary Services. She has 20 years of diagnostic clinical pathology/cytology experience from which to draw. Dr. Shelly joined VDx in 2005.
